Disputes and appeals
A documented process for resolving a problem without taking away your legal rights.
Report a problem
Open an issue from the task or Help and describe the disputed scope, payment, safety problem, or account decision. Include relevant evidence and the outcome requested; do not include unrelated private records. Reporting is available without new policy acceptance. An open work issue pauses automatic release of the affected task while funds and evidence are reconciled.
Evidence and decisions
TASK records the agreement version, sellers/shares, proof, updates, contacts, and payment evidence relevant to the issue. AI may organize evidence and suggest a response but does not decide contested earnings. The operator may resolve cases only when not a participant, giving a reason and an appeal path. For work performed by the operator, the parties may record a mutual settlement; unresolved contested claims go to the independent/legal options below, not self-adjudication.
Appeals
Use Help and reference the decision to request review, explain an error, or supply new evidence. An ordinary missed message, allegation, cancellation, or system failure is not automatically a verified no-show. A disputed or expired hold is not captured just to keep money available. Refund, payment, and bank states remain separately recorded during review.
Good-faith resolution
We ask both sides to try to resolve a dispute in good faith for up to 30 days after a notice describing the claim and requested remedy. This is not an absolute waiting barrier: safety reports, chargebacks, regulatory complaints, small claims, urgent relief, and filings needed to preserve a deadline remain available immediately. Send notice using the contacts below and retain your reference number.
Individual arbitration and class waiver
Except for eligible small claims, urgent provisional relief, claims that law excludes, and valid opt-outs, you and TASK agree to resolve disputes arising from these agreements or platform services by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules. After the 30-day informal process, either party may file with AAA at adr.org. TASK pays fees assigned to the business under the applicable rules and law; this agreement does not shift prohibited costs to consumers. The arbitrator may award individual relief available in court and must honor applicable law. You and TASK waive trial before a judge or jury for arbitrable claims and, to the extent enforceable, agree not to bring or participate in class, collective, consolidated or representative proceedings. This does not prohibit coordinated counsel, mandatory public relief, or procedures required by AAA or law; no special mass-filing penalty applies. A court decides enforceability of this arbitration agreement and its class restrictions. This is not a standalone waiver of jury rights for claims that remain in court.
Arbitration opt-out
You may opt out within 30 days after first accepting the arbitration agreement without affecting other services or terms. Use the arbitration opt-out control in Settings, or send a clear opt-out with your name and account email to support@task.com.ai or Task Marketplace LLC at the address below. The notice must be sent within that period. Keep your confirmation. A timely opt-out remains effective for later versions unless you expressly agree otherwise; accepting a routine update does not silently reverse it. TASK records requests and honors timely mailed or emailed notices after proportionate identity verification.
Courts and applicable law
California law governs to the extent permitted, preserving mandatory protections and consumer forums. Disputes outside the arbitration agreement may be brought in competent Riverside County courts where lawful. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration agreement. If a restriction on a particular claim or remedy is unenforceable, that claim or remedy proceeds in the legally required forum; lawful remaining provisions remain effective. No provision bars regulatory complaints, statutory reporting, or nonwaivable remedies.
Remedies and contact
Available remedies depend on the agreement, actual work, evidence, payment status, and applicable law. No goodwill program, insurance fund, or guaranteed reimbursement is promised. This does not limit refunds or remedies legally owed. Task Marketplace LLC, 22072 Monico Dr, Moreno Valley, CA 92557. Help: support@task.com.ai. Privacy: privacy@task.com.ai.
