Provider agreement
Your choices, commitments, credentials, and payment when you offer work through TASK.
Offering your services
You must be an adult with authority to offer the work. Keep your identity, legal seller, skills, equipment, service area, and availability accurate. You choose the tasks you offer for and whether to accept; declining invitations does not count as a no-show. Creating a profile or offer is free. TASK does not guarantee work or earnings. Where the platform operator is itself providing a service, that seller is identified plainly.
Your fixed agreement
Review the exact scope, timing, required crew, access, equipment, and completion criteria. Your offer is a fixed gross share, not an hourly rate or an open-ended expense authorization. Your accepted share cannot be divided later by an AI judgment. No work begins until required capacity and funding are ready. Stop and request a documented change before performing materially different or unsafe work. Customers prepay merchants for goods; do not front purchases expecting automatic reimbursement.
Required credentials and insurance
You are responsible for the licenses, permits, insurance, business authorizations, and competence required for the particular work and jurisdiction. Submit truthful evidence and disclose expiry, suspension, restrictions, or changes. TASK may check an issuing authority and block an ineligible action. Optional credentials do not substitute for legally required ones. A credential check is limited to the status described; TASK provides no blanket insurance or background-check guarantee. Platform obligations imposed by law remain with the platform.
Moving and construction
California household moving services can require a state permit; interstate moving and brokerage can require federal authority. Packing and transport must be assessed according to their actual scope. Construction licensing can depend on permits, additional workers, and total project cost. Do not divide a project to evade a licensing threshold. A $500 TASK limit does not create a licensing exemption. Other professional, health, care, or regulated work requires the appropriate task-specific eligibility.
Service relationship
You determine whether to offer and how to lawfully perform the agreed outcome, subject to the contract and safety requirements. You remain responsible for your business costs and obligations allocated by applicable law. TASK does not declare that every possible relationship is legally independent contracting merely because these terms use the word provider; actual circumstances and applicable law control. Do not represent TASK as your employer, insurer, license issuer, or guarantor without a factual basis.
Payment and Square
Connect the correct Square seller account before funding. Your seller identity and approved share are disclosed to the customer. TASK's commission is zero; Square's actual processing costs reduce your gross receipts. Authorization is a hold, capture is a charge, and bank settlement is a later event controlled by the processor/bank. TASK does not hold escrow or guarantee settlement timing. Keep authorization credentials and seller information current; revoked access or an unresolved payment can stop new work.
Proof and review
Provide evidence for each assignment, without unnecessary faces, children's images, intimate details, confidential records, or location metadata. A checklist, receipt, or customer confirmation may be appropriate. The task page shows the 48-hour review after all required evidence and its review notice are available. Customer approval or the disclosed unchallenged review period permits the agreed capture, subject to funding and legal constraints. Open issues pause automatic release; expiry does not justify premature charging.
Cancellations, disputes, and reviews
Notify the customer promptly if you cannot perform. Ordinary cancellation, verified no-show, an unresolved allegation, and platform failure are recorded distinctly. No automatic cancellation charge is imposed. Earned work and refunds follow the accepted scope, evidence, applicable law, and published process. You may appeal an operator decision. When the operator is a participant, it cannot unilaterally adjudicate its own payment. Reviews must be genuine and must not disclose private information.
Data, conduct, and contact
Use customer details only for the authorized task and necessary records; do not resell them, use them for unrelated outreach, or retain access codes unnecessarily. Protect your account and report suspected compromise. The Terms, Privacy, Safety, Cancellation & Refunds, and Disputes policies also apply.
